Center Stage is proud to partner with Moscow Ballet and their “Dance with Us” program for over 17 years.

Auditions for the 2019 season will be held October 12, 2019. Sign in is at 9:30 AM.
The performance will be held at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium on December 1, 2019 at 3 PM and 7 PM.

You must be available for rehearsals on October 12-13.
Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays. (Schedule Below)

This program has brought a professional, live ballet performance experience to over 5,000 student dancers in the US and Canada each year, since 1994.

Local student dancers ages 6 to 18 audition and rehearse with Moscow Ballet Audition directors who travel to each town eight weeks before the performance. The auditions are open to student dancers from all studios and are free. (There is a casting fee for participation) Moscow Ballet– 2019 is the company’s 27th consecutive year touring North America.

In addition to the popular Great Russian Nutcracker, company repertory includes classic ballets Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella and more.

Audition Director and Soloist
Mykhailo Shcherbakov

Mykhailo was born in Pugachov, Russia and moved to Kiev at just ten years old to start studying ballet at the Kiev Choreographic College. While in school, he participated in many ballet competitions, including the famous Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition and the International Ballet Competition and Contest of Choreographers in Moscow. In 2008, Mykhailo was invited to join the Kiev Municipal Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet for Children and Youth. A year later he became a Principal Dancer at the theater and has participated in every performance since he started working there.

He began studying at National Pedagogical Dragomanov University in 2010 and graduated in just two years with a degree in teaching. Mykhailo has traveled all over the world performing with a few ballet companies. He has performed in multiple countries including: Japan, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Spain, Norway, Finland, Denmark and France. Mykhailo joined Moscow Ballet in 2016 and performs in the Great Russian Nutcracker as Brother Fritz, the French Variation, and the Nutcracker Doll.
