Being a member of Center Stage Performing Company is the perfect way to refine your dance skills and perform on stage. Competitive dance offers the opportunity to develop your child’s confidence in his or her dance skills while having a great time! Dance team members also learn the values of discipline, motivation, and hard work that will last for a lifetime.
Summer at Center Stage
Theme Camps, Boot Camps, Summer Intensives and More!
Our Summer Technique classes and Summer Dance Intensives are an ideal way for all dancers to maintain the dance skills they have mastered during their regular dance season or try a new dance genre for our summer session. WHY DANCE?

“All children are born artists, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up.” – Picaso

Because we are

all Artists.

We all know that dance contributes to a healthy body, but it also stands to reason that dancing maintains healthy brain function, as executing complex moments are a fundamental function of our brains. You are not only exercising your body when you dance, but your brain as well. Children are born with oceans of creativity and frequently express themselves with movement.

You can’t learn to dance by sitting at a desk. You can only learn dance by doing. You observe your teacher and then try to imitate them. You progress through trial and error and the feedback you receive.

You learn by making mistakes and slowly overcoming them over time. Dance education preserves a child’s precious innate creativity and ability to learn things through trial and error, while the rest of the world is trying to suppress those characteristics.

Behind every dancer who believes in themselves is a Teacher that believed in them first.

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we say goodbye to a pillar of our Center Stage Family. Tim Hubert passed away Wednesday night unexpectedly. Thirty years ago, Tim and Wanda enrolled their daughter, Whitney into our Pre Ballet program and The Hubert Family quickly became one of our closest friends, mentors and supporters for years to come!

Tim was the epitome of “The Dance Dad”. He was always first to the scene with dance props, carrying enough mats to fill the stage, setting up and breaking down from every event and cheering for each and every Center Stage dancer! Even after Whitney graduated, Tim attended almost every local studio event.

Mr. Tim was instrumental in helping Michele build our studio’s Acro program as well as our first “Small Fries” petite group. He recently “retired” from our faculty in order to spend more time with his grandchildren. Simeon, his oldest grandson just recently joined our hip hop program this year.

Mr. Tim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Our thoughts and prayers are with The Hubert family.
